The Visa Bulletin for DECEMBER 2023 has been published! It contains the cut-off numbers to apply during the month of JANUARY 2024 as part of the DV 2024 Program. For January 2024, there are movements in the cut-off numbers of the various regions and exception countries, with the exception of the North America region.

January 2024 Cut-Off Numbers

For January 2024, the cut-offs numbers to apply in the various regions and exception countries are shown above, in an exerpt of the Visa Bulletin for December. By means of those cut-off numbers, we can identify the case numbers that are eligible for interview during the month of January 2024 as part of the DV 2024 Program.

Important: A case being eligible for interview for a given month does not mean that that case will be scheduled for interview during the month concerned at all cost. In addition to the case number, other factors contribute to determining the cases that will ultimately receive their interview notification.

Case Numbers Concerned

With the publication of the Visa Bulletin for December 2023, cases whose case numbers are eligible for interview during the month of January 2024 in the various regions and exception countries are as follows:

AFRICA: Case Numbers 1 through 21,999;

Except: ALGERIA: Case Numbers 1 through 14,999; EGYPT (same as for Algeria): Case Numbers 1 through 14,999 and MOROCCO: Case Numbers 1 through 19,999

ASIA: Case Numbers 1 through 5,499;

Except: IRAN: Case Numbers 1 through 5,449 and NEPAL: Case Numbers 1 through 2,999

EUROPE: Case Numbers 1 through 11,999;

Except: RUSSIA: Case Numbers 1 through 11,499 and UZBEKISTAN: Case Numbers 1 through 4,749;

NORTH AMERICA (same as for December) : Case Numbers 1 to 4;

OCEANIA: Case Numbers 1 through 649;

SOUTH AMERICA: Case Numbers 1 through 999.

Conclusion

Cases whose case numbers are the same or higher than their regional or country cut-off are still not current or eligible for interview. Such cases can not expect to receive their interview notification yet. Applicants concerned must check the Visa Bulletin when it is published in December – to ascertain the status of their case number.

The Visa Bulletin is published every month, and it is by means of this tool that Diversiy Visa applicants get to know the month when their case will be eligible for interview. Publication of the next Visa Bulletin – the fifth showing cut-offs for the DV 2024 Program – will be done some time in December. The cut-offs shown in that Visa Bulletin will be for FEBRUARY 2024 interviews.
