DV-2023 Lottery Now Underway

The DV-2023 Lottery has finally started. As was published in the DV-2023 Program instructions, the 2023 Lottery kicked off at midday Eastern Daylight Time (i.e 4:00 P.M. GMT) today, and will run until midday Eastern Standard Time (i.e. 5: 00 p.m GMT) on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.

2023 hopefuls the world over have begun to submit their entries to the DV 2023 Program. You too can, provided you meet the conditions of eligibility. Read this article to determine whether you are eligible for the 2023 Program or not.

If you are, then you may proceed to the official Diversity Visa website at https://dvprogram.state.gov where you may submit your entry.

Once on the official website, you’ll have a couple of options relating to the DV 2023 Program: you could read the 2023 Program instructions in its entirety by clicking the corresponding link; you could also view DV photo examples, if you wish. Both of these actions on your part are important in ensuring that you submit your entry properly.

To submit your entry – when you’re set to do so, click the only green button on the page – the BEGIN ENTRY button, which will lead you to the CAPTCHA code page. Reproduce the code in the space provided, and then click SUBMIT.

And you will be led to the Entry form when you will enter information about yourself and any other family member(s) eligible to enter the DV program along with you.

You – the primary entrant – will need to be in possession of a valid unexpired passport to enter the Lottery. And remember, you are not allowed to submit more than one entry on which you are the primary entrant.

And after filling out relevant information, don’t forget to print out your confirmation page – the page that appears immediately after you submit your entry. You will need it to know your result when the results are published on May 8, 2022.
