DV 2026 FIRST Cut-Off Numbers Published!

The Visa Bulletin for September 2025 has been published; and it contains the FIRST cut-off numbers for the DV-2026 Program! The cut-off numbers in question will apply in October 2025, the first month of DV 2026 interviews.

DV 2026 OCTOBER Cut-Off Numbers

These cut-off numbers tell the DV 2026 case numbers that are eligible for interview during the month of OCTOBER 2025. As explained below, the case numbers concerned in each region are those that are BELOW their respective numbers shown above.

Case Numbers Concerned

With the publication of the OCTOBER 2025 cut-off numbers, cases that are eligible for interview during the month of OCTOBER 2025 are as follows:

AFRICA: Case Numbers up to and including 17,499;

However, for the Africa region’s exception countries, interview-eligible case numbers are as follows: ALGERIA: Case Numbers up to 14,499; and EGYPT: Case Numbers up to 15,999.

ASIA: Case Numbers up to 9,999;

For the Asia region’s only exception countries (NEPAL), case numbers eligible for interview in October are case numbers up to 5,999;

EUROPE: Case Numbers up to 7,749;

NORTH AMERICA: Case Numbers 1 – 19;

OCEANIA: Case Numbers up to 1,099;

SOUTH AMERICA: Case Numbers up to 1,849.

Important: A case number being eligible for interview for a given month does not mean that the case concerned will be interviewed during the month in question at all cost. It may well be; it may also not be. In addition to the case number being eligible for interview, other factors contribute to determining when the case concerned will actually be interviewed.

Cases Not Yet Eligible

Cases whose case numbers are the same or higher than their region’s cut-off shown above are not eligible for October interviews. Applicants concerned by such a situation should consider their region’s cut-off number when the next visa Bulletin is published (anytime from September 7th to 15th) to ascertain the fate of their case. The cut-offs to be revealed in that Visa Bulletin will concern NOVEMBER 2025, the second month of  interviews in the DV 2026 Program.

The Visa Bulletin

The Visa Bulletin is published every month. It is by means of said publication that Diversity Visa applicants get to know the month when their case will be eligible for interview.
