The release of the DV 2026 first CEAC data is intended to provide us with the opportunity to better appreciate progress made so far in the DV 2026 Program.

Introduction

January 1st every year marks the publication of the first CEAC data by the United States State Department. Meaning, for the ongoing Diversity Visa Program, DV 2026, such data have now been published. The data in question exposes relevant details concerning interviews conducted during the first quarter (October, November and December 2025) of the current Fiscal Year – 2026.

Accessing the First CEAC Data

Individual Diversity Visa applicants may access the status of their respective cases by visiting the CEAC official website, and providing requested case information. In addition to case information previously requested, Diversity Visa applicants now have to provide both their passport number and the first five letters of their last name.

The official CEAC website does not present an overview of the CEAC data. As such, access and browse the DV Lottery Charts website by Xarthisius for detailed presentation of the data, including comprehensive charts, by-post interactive tools, and much more – all in one place.

Numbers of Interest

The DV 2026 first CEAC data indicate that for the first quarter of DV 2026:

– The Total Number of Applicants Issued Visas is 7,128

– The Total Number of Applicants Refused Visas is 1,027

Moreover, there are currently 5,794 applicants awaiting interview.

NOTE: Figures presented on the DV Lottery Charts website may not represent the actual reality of the DV-2026 Program considering that the status of certain cases are prevented from being determined due to the changes introduced to the CEAC system mentioned above.

Xarthisius himself warns concerning the situation of the DV-2026 CEAC data: ” . . . As (a) result, please use caution when interpreting the data presented here.”

Beginning of Countdown

The release of the first CEAC data also marks the beginning of the countdown on visa issuance. Going forward, DV 2026 CEAC data will continue to be published (till the end of the DV 2026 Program); and will allow applicants to follow how available Diversity visas decrease in number as the fiscal year progresses.

Conclusion

The release of the DV 2026 first CEAC data is intended to provide us with the opportunity to better appreciate progress made so far in the DV 2026 Program. Updated version of the CEAC data will be published on a weekly basis going forward. However, as Xarthisius warns, we must “use caution when interpreting the data presented here” as recent changes applied to the CEAC system risks concealing case status for some cases.
