Visa Bulletin for April 2023 Released!
The Visa Bulletin for April 2023 has now been released! In it are the regional cut-off numbers that will apply in the Diversity Visa program in MAY.
As usual, most regions – with the exception of Asia and Europe – had their respective cut-off numbers increased. The increases have made new cases current for interview for May 2023. Such cases can expect to receive their interview notification as of now. However, a case number becoming current in the Visa Bulletin does not mean that that case will be scheduled for interview automatically.
Interview scheduling also depends on other factors, including whether the DS-260(s) concerned has/have been submitted, whether it has/they have been processed, as well as the pace of interviews conducted at the embassy or consulate concerned.
Below are the regional cut-offs numbers that will apply in MAY 2023 as shown in the recently-published April 2023 Visa Bulletin:
With the publication of this Visa Bulletin, cases whose case numbers are current in the various regions and exception countries now include the following:
AFRICA: Case Numbers 1 through 59,999; Except: ALGERIA: Case Numbers 1 through 35,899; EGYPT: Case Numbers 1 through 18,649 and MOROCCO: Case Numbers 1 through 45,599
ASIA: Case Numbers 1 through 18,749; Except: IRAN: Case Numbers 1 through 5,999 and NEPAL: Case Numbers 1 through 17,774
EUROPE: Case Numbers 1 through 29,999; Except: RUSSIA: Case Numbers 1 through 29,349 and UZBEKISTAN: Case Numbers 1 through 10,139
NORTH AMERICA: Case Numbers 1 through 14
OCEANIA: Case Numbers 1 through 1,449
SOUTH AMERICA: Case Numbers 1 through 2,399
Cases whose case numbers are the same or higher than their regional cut-off are still not current, and can not expect to receive their interview notification yet. Applicants concerned must continue to follow the Visa Bulletin as it is published in upcoming months – to ascertain the status of their case number.
The Visa Bulletin is published every month, and it is by means of this tool that Diversiy Visa applicants get to know the month when their case becomes eligible for interview. Publication of the next Visa Bulletin – for the month of May 2023 – will be done some time in April. The cut-offs shown in that Visa Bulletin will be for JUNE 2023 interviews.
