DV-2022 Entry Period Ends Today
It is oft said that all good things must come to an end. And so it is with the Entry Period for the DV-2022 Program.
After nearly five weeks of entry submission, the DV-2022 Entry period, which began at 12:00 noon Eastern Daylight Time on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, and allowed the submission of millions of entries from countries around the globe, finally ends today, November 10, 2020, at 12:00 noon Eastern Standard Time (i.e. 17:00 or 5:00 PM GMT), as was established by the United States State Department more than a month ago.
Every year, for a period of thirty plus days, the annual DV Program, which kicks-off with a Lottery, attracts entries from more than one hundred and fifty countries worldwide. Entrants who are subsequently selected may apply for permanent residence in the United States by means of a Diversity Visa issued by the State Department at the end of a seemingly long process.
The annual DV Lottery, administered during the Entry period, by way of the official website of the State Department, draws interest and excitement from individuals the world over. Entrants to the DV-2022 Lottery will get to know the status of their entries (whether they are selected or not) beginning on May 8, 2021.
As for entry submission for the 2022 Program, it’s just a few hours from ending. At the designated time today, the DV Entry form which has been available since October 7, will become inaccessible to interested internet users until October next year, when the next Entry period (for the DV-2023 Program) will begin, at which time those who missed out on this year’s Lottery or who will not be selected come May 8, will have another chance to ‘vie’ for a Diversity Visa.
